As a Health, Safety and Environment Officer, your mission is to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant workplace environment. You’ll be responsible for driving HSE policy adherence, conducting risk assessments, inspecting operations, and delivering staff training — all to maintain safety and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities (Hot Job Opening at Dangote Group)

1. Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and implement preventive measures
2. Lead induction and routine safety trainings for employees and visitors
3. Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure HSE compliance
4. Organize regular toolbox talks and support daily safety briefings
5. Supervise the Permit to Work (PTW) system for ongoing projects
6. Guide management in conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
7. Review and evaluate critical safety equipment including PPEs, scaffolding, lifting gear, etc.
8. Enforce the implementation of the annual HSE improvement plan
9. Maintain all safety-related documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
10. Participate in plant shutdowns and emergency response situations
11. Promote absolute adherence to Dangote’s 15 Golden HSSE Rules
12. Ensure certification and execution of standards:

• NIS ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management)
• NIS ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management)
• NIS ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety)

Qualifications & Requirements (Hot Job Opening at Dangote Group)

1. Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Health, or Engineering
2. Certification as an HSE Practitioner by a recognized national/international body
3. 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment
4. Knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws and regulations
5. Strong leadership and communication skills
6. Ability to enforce safety protocols across operational levels
7. Experience supporting ISO compliance and audits is a plus
